Autumn Sunday Photo Shoot

Rachel and the kids had a wonderful fall photo shoot in the backyard.  They love taking pictures in our beautiful yard.

Beach Day in October

We had such a beautiful day that we decided to go to the beach.  It was perfect weather, even though it's October!  The kids had so much fun playing in the water, building sand castles, digging for crabs and finding shells.  It was one of our favorite fall days!

Fall Busyness

It's been crazy around here since school started because Rachel made the school volleyball team with two games a week and practice everyday after school.  In addition, she and Spencer are playing soccer, Rachel has young women, Spencer has cub scouts, Caitlin and Courtney have gymnastics, Rachel has chorale (an audition school choir) and also has piano lessons.  At least two times a week, I pick up Rachel from volleyball, give her something to eat in the car and take her to soccer practice.  Saturdays are busy with soccer games.  Thank heavens Paul helps with rides as well so we're able to manage everything.  The kids are loving school and doing well there.

School Begins Again!!!

School started today!  What an exciting time!  The twins started first grade so now they're going all day for the first time.  Caitlin has Mrs. Foley, who was Spencer's first grade teacher and Caitlin has Mrs. Andreas, who was Rachel's second grade teacher.  Apparently, they both were so excited to have Madsens in their class because Spencer and Rachel were such good students.  Spencer's third grade teacher, Mrs. Guffy, has a great reputation so we have high hopes for the coming year.  Rachel began 8th grade and has all honors classes.  Let the learning begin!
