Spencer (who was pretending to be a pirate): "Mom, you look just like a pirate so you can be on my ship." (the couch with cushions rearranged and a stool on it for a look-out tower)
Mommy (with a puzzled look on my face): "Why do I look like a pirate?"
Spencer: "You have pirate earrings and torn up shoes." (I was wearing some dog-chewed shoes to take garbage outside and hoop earrings. Hmmm. . .Thanks to the dog, I now have the perfect pirate costume!)
