What a wonderful weekend we enjoyed! Paul's brother, Greg and his wife, Laurel and my parents and Grandma Black all came to be a part of Spencer's baptism. It was also nice because Rachel had her final soccer tournament on Saturday so our family was able to go and cheer her on during her three games. They had never seen her play. After her final soccer game, Rachel, Mom and I went to watch Rachel's friend, Lauren, perform in her play. It was really a nice performance.
Spencer's baptism turned out beautifully. My parents both gave talks--Dad on baptism and Mom on the gift of the Holy Ghost. They did such a nice job. Rachel and I played a violin duet with Mom accompanying us. Grandma Black led the music and Greg and Laurel said the prayers. Spencer did great but did have to be baptized a second time because his toe popped up. Paul gave an eloquent confirmation as well. The spirit was strong and we all felt it. Afterwards, we had a delicious lunch. It was a special day.
